hi guys
quick question,, would it be acceptable to use a 7in to 8in increaser coming out of the 7in flue on the stove and run 8in pipe to the crock on the brick surround and use a 8in to 6in decrease into the chimney as my crock in the brick and chimney is 6in?
no one around here has any 7in pipe!
thanks

Try a HVAC supply house, they generally stock it and it is commercial grade.

That should work.
My Crane 404 that i bought used came with 6" pipe & baro,i used a 6" to 8" adapter to fit the 8" thimble. This season,i had to replace the whole pipe & baro,so i bought a 6" to 8"adapter for the stove outlet, all 8" pipe & baro right to the thimble.

just thinking out load here.. can i get a 7in to 6in reducers coming off the top of the stove to 6in pipe and a baro and then just 6in into my chimney??
I'm hoping that will work but i don't want any problems.. reason I'm asking this is because even if i do find the 7in pipe I'm going to have to reduce it to 6in to go into my crock in the chimney as it is in my finished basement and replacing he crock isn't an option. please tell me this will work for me!

Thanks. . So what about going to the 6in?
Like I said I can't change the size of the crock going into the chimney so that's why I was wondering about going the 7in reducer out of the stove and 6in pipe to the chimney

Wouldn't reduce at stove outlet, go all 7" and reduce at crock to 6".
