Anyone using large Glenwoods?

I was curious to see if anyone else on here was using the same or close to the same boiler as I am. Looking for tips or advice. I searched Glenwood but only a few smaller stoves came up. Attached is my boiler and a coal bin I recently built to help keep the garage a bit more uniform.

Welcome Zach,

If your doing a search for "Glenwood" you'll get buried in hits, but from an different, earlier company. Weir Stove company of Taunton Mass made millions of Glenwood stoves over the course of many decades, including large, whole-house heating stoves.

We DEFINITELY need more pictures. Especially of the inside of your boiler. I'm most interested in the top door on the front. Is that a clean out for a double pass tube setup?

I have never seen a boiler by that name, but it looks like it means business and I like your coal setup.

Welcome.

Since my boiler is currently running it would be pretty much impossible to take the top door off, but this is what it looks like behind the door. The heat travels into the (secondary heat exchanger) slats to heat the water which than travels underground into two radiators and my central air unit. I believe this unit is a 400,000 BTU OUT w/ coal able to heat 10,000SQFT. Holds around 150 Gallons of water. It heats my garage with a ceiling blower and my home is about 3600SQFT. Ill get some more images up of all the other parts. I'm slowly learning about the secrets this things holds and the very small amount of info on how to operate it.

Is this the Boiler? I had come across this outfit when I first started doing research on the route I wanted to go. >>> http://wood-boilers.net/glenwood-boilers/ I first saw them ( the Glenwood Boiler ) advertised on a place-mat in a local restaurant.

Wow! See the holes in the back of the firebox for over fire air.

Yeah that’s pretty close to the same boiler. They’re very cut and dry. I recently found a full video on a different model of boiler but figured out a good bit about the stove. I’ve been running Stove coal for a few days now. The temps were getting into the negatives. This will run 12 hours off of 9-10 shovel fills.
