All I am really concerned about is what kind of fire brick it takes and if need be a possible purchase of extra grate, thats it, everything else I can make work gaskets, blowers, switches, ect.

Actually, I bought up the last parts Oneida Royal had in 1991. There hasn't been anything available in years. There was a place in Western Pa. called Heckler Bros that had Oneida parts but I'm not sure if they are still in business. I have an old no. of 412-922-6811 if you want to try.

I don't know if this will help you http://www.furnacecompare.com/manufacturers/oneida_royal
it has some history of the buyout of Oneida royal. it only mentions HE gas and oil - no coal, there is contact information, perhaps you could contact them
someone there may be able to point you in the right direction?

On further examination, I think Curweensville heating may have bought Heckler Bros.

If so, Bricks are 9"x4.5" same as common wood stove/ coal stove bricks. If the grate isn't warped and the shaker still works, the only thing to worry about is the pressure vessel. If you can put water in it and pessure test it, great. If not look for any signs of cracks or leaks and it is most likely OK.

For $50, if it passes the above tests, I would RUN out to buy it. It's worth close to $50 at the scrap yard!

I paid $130 for mine, don't remember what I sold it for.

that's too bad- I'd have to say the old O/R would be better than a hot junk...........err....hot blast :)
