Cleaned up the DS 1500 for its 7th season. I'll removed the stove pipe from the wall to eliminate the outside humidity from entering the stove. Also will cap the stove pipe inlet with a plastic air tight cover. Then drop in a contain of DampRid to remove the moisture during the summer months. Usually will change out again around mid July.

Same here Fred. Stove in shop went out a day or two ago. Boiler will be out by the weekend (idling in basement). Will clean pipes by weekend.

Done step 1--shoveled out all old coal--probably drag out the shop vac tomorrow--gonna do all new gaskets--cause I can!!! LOL
