Never in the 29 year history of the Coal Gun has there been a time like now. Today's liquid fuel market has driven demand for alternatives to an all time high. Everyone from your neighbor to the presidential candidates are talking about the need for a new approach to heat. In this case, I guess it would be a new lease on life to a time-tested approach. While all this is great for us here at Alternate Heating Systems, it also has a downside that I am sure all of you are quite familiar with. While demand across the industry climbs, you have seen availability slide, and delivery dates disappear somewhere over the horizon of Spring '09.

That leaves us here at Alternate Heating Systems in a unique situation. Perhaps Henry Miller said it best, "All growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous unpremeditated act without the benefit of experience." That is very true of where we are at the moment. We have to decide when to grow, where to grow, and how much to grow. All this must be done while keeping in mind the fact that we really do not know exactly what the future of energy holds. Thus, we are trying to grow, but grow smart. Change is great, but improvement is better.

Allow me to shed a light on what we are doing to grow and meet your needs. We have expanded our workforce and added employees on extra shifts. We have constructed a new building that doubled our manufacturing space. We are researching new methods of production, and even brought in some management expertise to help get our production up to par with demand. All these things are very invigorating to me, and I wanted to share the excitement with you. Have faith, we are growing and anticipate being caught up sooner than we had previously thought possible. President Reagan once said, "There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder." AHS is becoming living proof of that proverb.

I'm glad to see the manufacturers of boilers and stoves are keeping the manufacturing process here in the U.S. I'm sure it would have been less expensive per unit to sub out the work overseas.

Hey guys, there are about three different subjects or topic requests here.. how about posting separate new topics for Patrick to answer ?? Otherwise we have a thread trying to cover too many topics and subjects.. a smorgasboard thread... not much good for future reference.

Patrick: thanks for the update, it pretty much answers my questions on my post from a day or two ago.

It sounds like you have made some serious steps towards real growth in your manufacturing capacity..

Thanks again for the update..

Greg L.

Note: Topics split, new question new topic please.
