Greetings....not sure if this is the right spot for this post I think it is. So the wife and I are new to the coal/Anthracite use for heat we do enjoy the feeling it gives as both of us are use to electric heat we’re it only heats the skin. We bought this house and it has a coal boiler it has an old Losch ( under score old ). It has seen better days . So my question is we are looking to get a new boiler what should we be looking for in a new one. We know that people have pet peeves or wish I would have thought about this or that when I got mine etc etc..
2nd part is anyone know of a company that installs them and does finance or are most companies a cash only sale. The house is about 1,900 to 2,000 square feet we use the water for heat and washing. This tab on the one we have now says size 350 Max.w.p~~steam 15#~water 30#..the serial number is 847A . We are in pa around the tower city area. Again thanks for your help.

Dirt grease and some rust doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s got to go.

People here still running boilers that on second and third owners.
Many of These boilers were made in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

Think about it, few wear parts to replace and your in it to win it for cheap!!!
More money for coal too!
