Hi Larry: Couldn't find where I should leave you a 5 star rating for your stove, so I am using the contact .
My refurbished Chubby had its first fire a week ago. Just enough to burn off the new paint. You were right, the new paint you are using smokes little, for about 5 minutes and gone.
I have to admit I didn't need any learning curve. I burned your stoves before. But the new ones you are restoring are far better. They shake down with ease and really hold the fire.
My Chubby, which I bought from you this summer, is working beautifully. I just loaded it to the top of the burn pot and it is a steady 400 degrees with the bottom slide just an eighth inch open, damper closed 90 percent. The first fire I went a solid twelve hours on a load. Sure beats getting up every four hours to check and load the wood stove.
Thanks again Larry. You truly are "The man" when it comes to coal stoves.

I could write volumes! . The product, Parts and service are Stellar! IMHO there is NO better manual Coal stove for a small, med size home. It has been -20 oF and 25 mph winds here in my 1862 house and the Chubby as the ONLY heat source. Power went out and we were all nice and TOASTY!! Hope to grab some "cooking" pics this "Wintah" !!

I've had a great experience with my Coal Chubby Blower Model. It easily heats my 1800sqft ranch on the coldest of days.

Thanks for the follow up. Chubby, Olga and I made it back safe and sound. We were even ambitions enough to bring Chubby in upon return. The Chubby is burning great and much simpler and hotter than my Reading Mahantongo it replaced. Thank you so much for all the help and the great product you created. Looking forward to many warm winters here in Northern Connecticut. Please keep in touch.

Below zero every night for a while now ( -9 to -16) and windy and the 2015 top draft Blower Chubby is still kicking ass !. I am only burning about 45 lbs a day too. In less harsh weather I can get it done for 35 lbs. This stove loves Blashack Coal. Only pure white ash, minimal clinkers and NO wasted, crunched up, un burned coal. Its a bit of work this time of year, but the rewards are "Body warming" !! The Chubby has conquered our 1862 Drafty home ! ( 1500 sq ft. ).

Mine is a 79 rear vent. We burn Sherman Coal which is a nice white ash coal. The stuff I was getting from TSC was red ash, burned hot but tons of clinkers. Im in Athol Ma, we border Richmond NH.whereabouts in NH are you?

A border community , East Rochester . 2 hr drive anyway. I can throw a Stone into Maine from my driveway. Temps and baro are much more like Lebanon , Maine than west of us in Rochester, which affects my Stove adjustments. Nice to meet you ! Bruce
ps. The TSC coal in this area is Reading coal, and is about 79% carbon, the Blashack is 91-95% . I do not know about the Sherman, must be great hard coal, the tell all is in the ash...
