Chubby Stove Co in News Part 2.. Well Kind of...

Not only did Larry invent the Chubby Coal stove back in the 1970's, but when the Anthracite mines couldn't keep up with the demand Larry did something about it. You can read about it at the link below.

Neat!

A few years ago we had a ton of buckwheat coal leftover from the EFMs. The next fall we got a cold snap before buying any nut coal, and my brother decided to try burning the buck in the shop Hitzer. We were surprised at how well it burned, and how easy it was to shakedown and reload. Other than some coal passing through the grates when first lighting it, we had no problems.

Larry pumped out the briquettes for a couple a years until the ultra cheap oil basically slowed the coal business to a crawl. At that point there wasn't a shortage of coal from the mines either. Nonetheless Larry's invention helped keep people warm and the factory pumping out new units. :D
