Greetings! This post will serve to announce our new science project here at LL.

Concept: Modify an existing AA Pressure Vessel to work with our feeder and base design
Overview: 220K Feeder (input btuh), 38 gallon pressure vessel with fire tube design, 5 gpm DHW coil standard, 250# hopper, insulated jacket, 7124 triple aquastat, 6006 high limit aquastat, 1.5" dual supply lines on top, 1.5" dual return lines adjacent to each side of fire pot, fire burns in large combustion area with 6" outlet in top, feeds through space confined by large refractory door back down into 25 each 1.5" fire tubes and through a divider in the base and out the 8" flue.
Pictures are attached, more to follow as soon as I get the base built and the unit fired up.

I know I know, I should be posting a manual for the 110 boiler not starting new projects!

Thanks, yes the double 110 feeder found in the AnthraKing 220.

Latest progress, hope to start the fire by Friday.

UL testing now scheduled for August 29 start, Testek was booked until then.

So now we have sold almost 8 of these things and the UL testing starts tomorrow, it looks like we have a hit on our hands. Documentation and operations instructions will be posted on the web site this week. I delivered a unit to a Pig Farm yesterday and set it up for the farmer, he will be hoking up the plumbing soon.

Stay tuned for more results and information.

First day of set up and testing complete, passed the low and high voltage test and got preliminary set up completed for high limit test and others tomorrow. Some preliminary numbers to consider:

Supply 184*F
Return 74*F
Flue Temp 275*F
Flow rate 24 gallons in 3.5 minutes (6.85 GPM)

Consider the formula BTUH=GPM X 500 X DeltaT in Degrees F, we are looking at some fantastic numbers! But the flow calculation was taken off a standard water meter and our observation might be off, if it is correct here is a fantastic number, 274,000 BTUH! Based on the flue temp it appears that the boiler is 88% efficient or better, more to follow after tomorrows testing.

Here are some specs on the boiler:
Same feeder as the 220 furnace (dual Pocono 110 burners)
48.5 Square feet heating surface
42 gallon water capacity
320 # hopper with 23X17X11 ash pan
Honeywell 7224C Triple Aquastat
Honeywell 6006 High Limit Aquastat
Same Timer Relay and Rheostat controls for the idle circuit as the WL 110 boiler
5 GPM DHW coil
Approximate package weight is 1,200#, boiler base and Pressure vessel are easily separated for movement of boiler

Your photos got me thinking, Volvo has a color called Anthracite Black. EFM has their Azure Blue. Leisure Line needs a color trademark, how about "orange flame" or "coal bed red"?

Not a bad idea, we have already used the Azure for the 110 unit since that is how it comes from Axeman Anderson, will have to take a look at available colors at the Powder Coating Shop.
