I have been searching for a stoker to heat my house and shop. I live in Montana and have been heating with lump coal from Decker Mt. My current set up is a 300,000 BTU Wood coal outside heater that holds 300 gallons of water. I usually heat it to 170-175 degrees in the winter to heat a 4000 sq. ft. home. I have the heater in the shop with only the feed door outside so I keep the smoke out. I use a Magic heat on the chimney to heat my shop. It stays about 65 even on the coldest days. I have been getting lump coal from Decker. I use some wood but time is hard to come by for cutting wood. I need to get a stoker and my current stove just doesn't cut it anymore.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a stoker that will heat water that would compare to my wood/coal setup? Thanks in advance!!
