Hand Fed Coal Stove: Petit Godin 3720
Coal Size/Type: Anthracite

I recently picked up a PG 3720 and I have a question about venting it. I plan to burn anthracite in it. The room has a cathedral ceiling, and I am trying to decide between venting it through the roof or out through the wall, a couple of feet below the peak of the roof. In either case, I plan to run stove pipe up to the point where it would either connect to the roof or the wall, then transition to chimney pipe. What I don't know is what, if any difference this might have on the draw of the stack. I would rather not punch a hole in the roof unless it would mean a significant loss of draft. Thoughts? TIA!
