I am looking at a used lightly used 7-year-old coal stove for $1000 ,I have had wood stoves in past but switched to a pellet stove in the house now for about 3 years. I like the add a bag before work and bag before bed aspect, I am not home all day.
I am looking that is TLC 2000 for my garage 30 x40 cement wall lots of drafts. I am getting tired of the torpedo heater and smell, I used that to pre-warm the garage then swap to my propane heater. it works well enough but I am looking to install the TLC and run it a few days before the weekend so i can work out there without dying of that diesel smell! The backup will be propane.
Looking for thoughts as I can really only stock the stove before and after work. I don't have time for a wood stove anymore. Propane is quite costly but only use it when I am out there.
How many hours does it take to get this stove up and running fully? I would have to light when I get home. I have other choirs to do also at night, Kinda debating pellet stove with wifi thermostat or this manual stove.

Any advice, input is greatly appreciated !!
