Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum. We have a Surdiac stove that has not been used for about 18 years. I need some advice. Is it able to be or worth getting serviced so it can be use. Or am I better off dismantling it and getting something new?
I live on Long Island in New York, if anyone knows a place local.

Thank you, John

OMG. My old stove. If you wanna get some info, check out my old thread here titled "Diary of a Surdiac". (Punch it in on the search bubble above.) And welcome to the club. You've come to the right place.

Might just be me but I'd get something else, something with a shaker on it and that the fire easily goes at least 12 hrs before refilling.

Inspect the heat exchanger in the back and if good give the stove a good cleaning and use it.
