My 3720 door did not have a fiberglass rope type door gasket. The gasket looked like some kind of grey-white asbestos like material similar to the asbestos insulation found wrapping hot water pipes in old houses. It appears that this material continues under neath the sub frame that holds the air adjustment knob Plate and mica window. I removed that material and replaced it with 1/2 “ graphite fiberglass rope gasket, which corrected all air leaks. Was this asbestos like gasket originally used by Godin or some kind of a ghetto fantastic aftermarket modification? Also, where is the air tube (part #3 conduit d’ air in the 3720A manual) ? I can’t seem to find it in my stove..

The above picture may be the inlet to the air tube.
That looks like the outlet port of the air tube..
I know it’s blasphemy but it isn’t cold enough for coal... so it’s burning wood for now..

Attached are two pics, one is a Godin from the mid 70s with the original asbestos gasket. The other is the parts diagram. Part # 39 is the air tube ( conduit d'air). As you noticed the intake is just above the lintel, and the outlet is at the top front of the firebox. The actual tube is mineral fiber filled (to control airflow) and between the front firebrick and the outside metal skin.
Sorry it took so long to reply, been very busy lately.
