As it turns out the Godin 3720 stove takes approximately a 7/16 rope gasket. This I determined from the English Godin manual. The parts are listed in French, but once translating the French and converting the metric gasket to standard measurement it comes out to be 7/16" rope gasket by 33.5 inches long.
I called Rutland and found that although they don't have a 7/16 gasket kit on the market, they will sell it by the foot for $1.50 a foot, if you call their customer service number at
800- 544-1307.
I ordered 3 feet of 7/16 gasket from Rutland's so that I have enough gasket for posterity. Shipping and the gasket were undrr $10.
Happy, happy, joy, joy.

You will only have a few inches left over, so posterity will have to find their own.

Ha, ha, ha ....franco B you are too quick! Let me correct that, I got 9 feet or 3 yards. I can't get anything over on you.....and I guess I am paying a little more than $10. It is worth it get a high quality gasket in the right size.
