Hi Folks,
I searched around and couldn't find anything on this topic. I have an Efel/Harmony Arden. It has a knife port on the front. The stock knife is flat, about 3/16" thick and has a curve on the end. The end of my knife is getting quite worn down. It's so thin it bends when too hot. It also catches on the coal once your rake down the buttery ash after a night's burn. I've looked on Amazon and the web in general for 'coal knife' and 'coal rake' and don't come up with anything helpful. I can go to a blacksmith, but that will certainly be an expensive route. Anyone know where to buy one? Thanks.

Rob

Buy a length of flat steel at the hardware store. I think 1/8 thick is OK.
Cut to length plus about five inches to be heated red hot and bent over on itself over a pipe to form a handle.
Make the cut to duplicate the angle part and file a V groove for it to be welded. Should not cost much to just run one short bead, but you have to do the prep work.

Thank you. I can definitely do that. I can weld so that's no problem. However I have to admit I wanted to take the lazy Man's approach!

Check Woodmans Parts and also it might be available in Europe.
