Yeah , picked the stove up on ebay , spent a week sorting it out , no manufacturers name , but as it has mica in the windows presume it's old . Oval pipe at back , made adapter oval/round to fit fly pipe . Looks to be French , but could be Belgium. Wife loves it . Send more photos when it's up and running .

Thanks , photos are before I put mica in , also putting a cast iron insert behind it and a oak fire surround to make it look like it's in front of a fireplace . Will send photos when installed and working .

Looks great! What did you use to finish the surface?

Used stovax graphite polish , comes in a tube like toothpaste, rub into cast iron , then buff off , when cast iron gets hot it bonds to the surface , doesn't peel like paint . Can keep it looking good as new .

How did you prep the surface? Wire brush? Sand blast?

Was going to sandblast the stove , but changed my mind as it could have destroyed the fine detail on the cherub ( finger nails / toes ) so decided to go the hard route with a wire brush , and plenty of elbow grease . Hence why it took me a week . But it was worth it all the detail is intact . Ps - look at the attachment of my columbian stove works stove that I refurbished and is working in my lounge made in 1860 , I think it's beautiful and I finished it with the same graphite .
