EFEL Stove Parts/Tools

Hello Everyone,

In my opinion I purchased the best hand fired coal stove made back in 1986, and it is still performing flawlessly to this day! Its an EFEL ARDEN (084.65). This stove has gotten us through many power failures and extreme temperatures without a hitch. I am having a hard time finding replacement tools for this stove. The USA Dealer site seems to not be online anymore. I need to replace the shaker tool. It slides over the shaker arm on the back upper part of the stove. Its not your regular run of the mill hook tool, it almost looks like a curtain rod. Anyone have contacts for parts and tool for this stove?

There is a member new to this forum that owns and runs a metal fabrication shop.

If you can sketch it with good dimensions he could certainly be able to reproduce it.

I could probably provide measurements if I can find my tool, if its the same. Mine was an Efel Bayard, same as Harmony 3. I never used that end of the tool. I just sliced.

found it, surprisingly. These are the 2 tools I have. If you dont have 1 for a pattern I can take better measurements to have 1 made.

ImageHello All,
I hear ya about just getting a hook tool but the U-channel tool works much smoother. It is exactly the 2nd picture from warminmn. I attached a pic of my stove and worn out tool.

You might be able to have someone braze that to get it strong and the right size again, if its as thick of steel as mine. I'll dig online, probably tomorrow, as i used to have some websites saved for parts for mine. They likely used the same tool for many models.

Warminmn, were you able to find any of those parts websites that might list this shaker tool? Thanks!

Birds, sorry I forgot to check. I just looked and had zero luck. i found some parts for the stove but not that one. eurostoves was the site that used to have most the parts but not much now and its a tough site to search. They dont seem to make parts for any of these foreign stoves for any length of time. I did look on 2 of the major site in the US too, and nestor martins website.

If it ends out helping at all my stove is the same as the Harmony 3, (they have a wood model too with that name), Bayard 312, and Montana. The only difference was the top piece. These stoves are listed as the following brands... Efel, Nestor Martin, and Surdiac.

You may have to have one made as Fred mentioned. Sorry I didnt have any luck and had forgotten to look before now.

Thanks warm. I am going to run a couple weld beads on my old shaker tool. The ol hook works just not as smoothly.

I use this company for parts for my Efel Arden Giant coal stove. Ordered a new bottom grate in 01/18 after burning out mine after 30 + years and will be ordering a new front vase in the near future.

I love this stove, we use it to heat our home all winter and use nut coal with out the hopper. About 10 years ago the bottom of the hopper slagged wider than the top opening and I stopped using it, one day I'll pull out the grinder and fix it. 40-50 lbs of nut last 24 hours and I get better heat than pea or rice.

Hi. I am new here and really know nothing about stoves so please excuse my ignorance! We have an Efel Montana in which we burn wood. We need to replace the back plaque (heat deflector?) that just rotted away. We have been able to remove the plaque but cannot find a replacement. The Fonderies du Lion in Belgian went bankrupt and the new Fonderies de Couvin, which took over the property, no longer manufactures stoves. By the way, we live in southwest France! Any suggestions? I have attached photos of the stove. Thank you!
