Hello,
My husband and I purchased a home with a Weso wood burning stove and need help operating it. The stove was new and installed in the home around 1986. Model HSK 225.

Fred makes a good point. I don't see an ash pan on the bottom. Unless there's a series of doors that need to be opened to access it. Also don't see a shaker handle. It's made in Germany tho, so it must be well built, for what'ever the intended fuel is. Looks pretty rugged. Sorry, but don't think I'm much help either. Hope you find some more answers. Also, welcome to the club.

Welcome to the forum ahl,

If you type Weso Stove into the search bar you will see other threads about your stove including pictures.

Fred I'm surprised you don't remember these stoves It seems like every year questions pop up about them in the hand fired section. If I remember correctly, the Weso is a German ceramic radiant heater. It has a small fire box so I would imagine it will work better with coal.

Moving this to the " Imported Hand Fired Coal Stoves Using Anthracite" section

This is the latest thread that I found. It has an exploded view and some discussion about how to operate it.

Yep, good for coal. At the end of the grates--outside stove body, I'm guessin there should be a hole to stick in some type of shaker handle to work the grates.
