Boiler was purchased by a friend. Trying to find a source for some shaker grates and maybe a copy of the owners manual. The one person we talked says this unit was never distributed in the US. Seems to be a very solid unit of all cast iron construction

Welcome to the forum.
Here is a start to your search, it's the company's website: http://www.dedietrich-heating.com/products/produc ... cf_120_cse
A maual may be had here: http://www.manuals.club/document.php?iddocument=Dyb7uqm3af
or here: http://www.manualsdrive.com/results.php?lang=en&s ... gF2spWFOM8
But I would check with the company on manuals first.
Best of luck, Don

Welcome.
Something to keep in mind. Many European multi-fuel stoves are designed to run on "soft" coal, which is the major coal type over there. But, they don't make the distinction between hard and soft coal in their advertising, or manuals. At least not any that I've seen.
As such, they are better suited to burning wood and our soft coals. They don't do as well on hard anthracite as a stove designed specifically for that type of coal.
If you have access to bit coal (soft coal), it may work better in that De Dietrich ?

I wish you luck, parts for their oil boilers are near impossible to find and the north American rep is all but useless if you can contact him, I would look for used parts than trying to deal with him again just my 2 cents
