Hello everyone!
I am a petit godin 3720A owner from Greece.
I used to burn wood more than 3 years to heat my house, until I find your forum and was inderested to buy some anthracite coal to probe it.
Now I wait for an one ton anthracite coal delivery, from a german mine.
Sorry for my English
George

WELCOME to NEPA!!! There are several Godin owners on this forum. I am sure they will make a post or two shortly.
I think you are going to LOVE anthracite. You just can't beat the long steady and CHEAP heat. And Godin makes a great stove. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. This is a great forum and people will be happy to help.
ciao!

Yes! They are sawdust briquettes... they cost a lot (250-300 euro/ton) and burn rapidly...
The only benefit is that the percentage of ash is less than 1%.

Αccording to the shipping company the coal will be here on Wednesday.
In Greece there are no any hard coal mines (only lignite, for electric power generation) and it was quite difficult to find a supplier for a small order.
Unfortunately, solid fuel suppliers import only anthracite coal dust for iron industry... No one knows that is a great domestic fuel!

Welcome George!
Glad to hear you are from Greece. My brother (Hantzarides) in Law is Greek. What a treat he is. Every Easter we roast a Lamb and a Goat at his house to celebrate! We pick them out fresh from the farm so they can be butchered to his specification. He also makes the Kokoretzi fresh from the offal. So delicious with home made Cipiro!
Opa!
Cheers,
Scott

Unfortunately the transport company will delayed my coal delivery for the next week, so I have to wait until next Tuesday...
