I saw this stove for sale. They say it burns wood and coal. Can anyone fill me in on it.

I have one and they are beautiful to look at and throw a lot of heat, similar to a Hitzer 983 or Harman MKII. Burns wood pretty ok for the shoulders of the season.

That one looks good from here; if overfired, the baffle above the fire sags down - it should be a flat plate. The front firebar will also buckle when overfired. Needs the grate lever and make sure all the grate bars are in place. Replacement issenglass is easy to find. Expect to paint and rope seal.

You load coal (I like nut in it) every 12 hrs and empty every 24hrs. The top hinges back and you can cook on it - we do dutch oven stuff on it (excellent stews and roasts). Price is ~norm, too.
