so I went and got coal the other day and noticed the run of mine pile. it looks like a straight up mess to deal with with all the fines

how do you guys burn it without it giving you all kinds of issues?

Shovel it into my outdoor boiler. Takes about anything I shovel in. Mix in a few logs to help create some air passages.

Hard to pass up the price. Stuff I've been getting from Grove City PA has been burning pretty good.

If they let you pick it its no big deal just leave what you dont want. Fines are a pain.
