Looking for lump coal for small hand-fired stove that I can pick up at mine or have delivered to Pataskala, Ohio. Any ideas?

A bit of a road trip...Bucyrus, Ohio had a coal outlet advertised on Craig'sList in the past, don't know if it is still.

Try the hardware store in Obtez they used to resell lump coal from Bramhi located outside of Wellston. If you want to get it from the mine try Oxford reclamation (New Lexington) 740.343.0195 its been about 6 years sense I last bought coal from them but, it was very very good and CHEAP $80/ton I think its been a while.

EDIT its now called oxford mining company like I said its been a while

Bramhi Coal at Wellston has some #6 Bit in stock, @$100 per ton. They have lump like pictured on truck, stoker, and what appeared to be a pile of 3" - 4", I guess you would call stove coal. There was also a pile of finer coal off to the side, nice & clean. Looked to be 1,000 to 1500 tons of mine run yet to be screened. Power screen was down that day, so they weren't loading out of the tipple. He loaded me with their skid steer. That is 1-1/4 tons on the truck. Wish I had more storage room, I'd have loaded all I could haul.

He told me it will burn well in a stove, and more BTU's than #5, guess I'll see. It came from a stripping operation for fire clay near by. A buddy of mine works for the company that was stripping it, and he helped haul the coal into Bramhi. He told me about this back in Aug., and I was hoping they still had some left. Not sure how long it will last, but I was the only truck there, for the 20+ minutes I was there on Thursday. Nice folks to deal with..!!
