Does anyone know where I can buy bituminous coal in nepa? Not the bagged "blacksmith" coal, it's too expensive. I will be using it for forging but I don't need super high quality bit coal for what I do. I'd like to get enough that I can burn in my warm korning stove also for when I'm in my shop and don't need a very long burn to heat it. Thank you

I live in SEPA and have some Thompson's #4 Ohio bit if you want to come down and get some.

a number of blacksmiths in western new york use that coal in pea size and have good success with it. there are better coals for this purpose, but it's better than average for this purpose.
