I posted this sometime ago, don't know where it went, so if its a repost my apologies.
Looking for Bit - stove size or larger to try out. Anybody have a line on a supplier in the 17013/Harrisburg area? Would only like to try a 1/4 ton. For now.
Thanks!

hotblast1357 I'm 926 miles from the coal yard.
Trucking was not included.
48,000 lb delivery should be set for a while
Thought a few in the midwest might like to buy some from me.

It's past campell river u have to call the mine in advance they basically sell the spillage at their barge dock call quinsam mine and ask for purchasing they will tell you when there will be someone to load you .... Keep in mind it isn't their regular line to sell small loads you may have to wait for a break in trucks coming or going before they can load you but the guys seem pretty good. They say they get about 15 guys every winter showing up.... All the blacksmith societies get it by the tandem load it might be worth the trucking.
Does anyone know of any Bit dealers in MA, CT, or RI? I would prefer to buy it bagged if I can. If I can only get bulk then I would deal with that as I need something to heat my house.
There seems to be a shortage of anthracite coal developing this year and looking for a way to still use the coal stove and keep the kids warm this winter.
Thanks.
Vin.

To update one of my earlier posts:
Green Valley Coal is no more. They shut down earlier this year and will not be selling residential coal at all.
Greenbrier Smokeless in Anjean (close to Rupert) is selling "stove coal" for a whopping $120/ton. I can't get them to give me specs. They're also selling stoker coal but it's $200/ton.
