BYU Heating/Cooling Plant

The 'buildings that heated with coal' thread reminded me of this and thought I would post it here because they're using bituminouscoal.

Note: Coal is not used during times of the year when persistent temperature inversions occur....you guys who live in interior valleys of Alaska know temperature inversions very well.

very interesting rockwood. I believe this is the same principal that our local chena hot springs uses hot water to keep there ice museum frozen during the summer. and yes we know inversions well, but it doesn't change our burning habits much
