So I shut down for a few weeks in order to rebuild the top of my chimney. The fellow that helped me has 70 bags of coal he wanted to sell. So I picked up 20 yesterday. He said it stays damp in the bag. Well put my chute in this morning and should have paid closer attention. I have a bunch of vacuuming to do in the basement!
So for the balance of the bags was this to open the top and give them a spray from the hose?
Thoughts??
Anybody want to help with the vacuuming!
Not a question on my boiler...!

Hello Kungur,
Spraying the coal in the bags giving the coal a good soaking before you dump it
will solve the dust issue for you while dumping the bagged coal down the chute.
It will not hurt anything.
