Thought this might be a fun thread. I'm driving to pick up my Keystoker KA-6 on Saturday. I'll have a few young guys to help me. Gonna bring a two wheeler, a furniture dolly with a 1000lb capacity, iron pipe, ramps etc. I rented a Uhaul trailer with a ramp. It's up 3 steps so should be striaghtforward. Gonna be a bear getting it into my basement. I do have a 10,000lb winch.

Moved mine into my basement with just 2 other guys and a come along. Built a wooden ramp to slide it down off the trailer. Then two of us stood it up onto a dolly type cart. I manuevered it around my basement with a floor jack and roller skate type dollies, placed and leveled it all myself. (Needless to say, I almost dropped it at least twice). The full boxy shape does make it very helpful to predict where the weight is (covers off). I think we figured about 450 lbs empty but I truly have no idea. The stoker mechanism probably weighed about 80 lbs alone, it was nice having that and the hopper off and out of the way.ASea wrote: ↑Wed. Aug. 10, 2022 6:53 pmThought this might be a fun thread. Hey! How did this go? I found an old post that said the KA-6 was 1200#s. How did you get it down to 450#?

KA-6 stripped vessel is 900 lbs....1200 is a little exaggerated.
I once rigged/raised one up a set of basement stairs and out the kitchen door to porch and then onto pickup truck. But then I do have a bit of rigging skills.

My hats off to you! It was me and two of my sons. I'm inexperienced and didn't want anyone to get hurt. Not worth it.
