We have an Amitrol Indirect that is used in conjunction with our oil boiler and EFM520. We had our second failure and are going onto our third unit. Is it possible the indirect is getting too hot and failing? I want to make sure we aren’t causing the issue. We had the seal leak this time after four years. It could be bad luck or it may it be something else? Dan

Did both BoilerMates have gasket failure? If so that sounds pretty odd.
I got mine used and have been running it since 2014. I've run from 140 to 195 degree boiler water through it and the gasket is still sealed.

Add pipe and move tank a distance from boiler. That way no hot water moves in and out of bladder…all room temperature water.
