Ahhh!!! But didn’t you just have a problem with that, hrmmm. Maybe a proper spring would of avoided that???
Another factor is the looking glass instead of the steel cover so there is a balancing act involved and for almost 2 years it was ok and there were some severe wind days in that time. Perhaps it was the perfect storm? IDK but this was a very serious issue that will be addressed!

Anyone have a picture of this spring in place? I'm having some trouble visualizing where it goes and what it does.

Stoker Coal Boiler: eshland s130

So a update. Contacted ahs and had them send me another spring. Unfortunately it doesnt fit my model due to its a eshland and the bolt that the flapper sits on has a larger diameter and the new spring wouldnt fit. It also seemed to me like the new spring would take alot of pressure to get it to collapse to pull in. Talking with ahs my only option is find a spring on my own and make it work.

As far as the damper, I know how to set it up as this is a change out from a hand feed to stoker. Already have everything in place for draft settings. Since the boiler actully is setup outside, I have a draft booster installed as well to be able to pull draft due to short chimney.
