A few days ago I woke up to a broken auger. We have our EFM in-line with an oil boiler and a hot water heater..unfortunately, the indirect water heater is waiting on a warranty replacement and they are on back order. As a result, we had no hot water. Looking around it was suggested by a Coalpail member to contact Mark’s Supply. They had the auger and were willing to ship it. However, I took the 4 hour trip (5 with traffic) and they took their time to explain and help me with any issues or possible causes of the break. It may have been caused by the shear pin not breaking as I replaced one previously with a pin obtained locally.

Anyway, I obtained the part and hot water is up and running again within 24 hours. Mark’s Supply, Shenandoah, PA was very helpful and I learned they are a distributor for EFM. They also make parts for some discontinued machines for EFM.
