Not that I would do but thought I would ask.
I have a KA2 boiler. Is it possible to convert it to a gas boiler?

Gas and coal boilers work on an entirely different recovery theories. It certainly is possible but the efficiency will suffer.

You're better off finding a good used gas boiler and installing it in tandem. Gives you 100% backup and both are efficient in their own worlds.

And a gas boiler can be wall mounted and not require much footprint.
