"Best" Constant circulator for primary loop?

My primary loop is about 20-25ft total that goes horizontally down the wall, up about 18 inches and back.

I am considering running a circulator constantly. Currently has Taco 007.

This is to allow my Living Room to gravity flow as well as run its zone pump (simply remove the flow check).

The 007 is a good little circulator, but is there something better and more efficient for 100% duty cycle?

Actually I have to make a correction to add about 12ft of 1.5" cast iron, then reduced into the rest is 1.25" copper.

I had forgotten I doubled the length of the copper primary to add the extra zones.

This is Keystoker KA6.

According to this excerpt from PexSupply/com, 8.2-16.3gpm is the recommended range for the piping.

Not sure what the Keystoker wants ideally. I have forgotten a whole lot of stuff, so if I'm asking repeated questions, just raise a cup of coffee, have a chuckle about it, and be gentle. LOL

Just run the 007 until it dies, then replace with an 007E or equivalent.

I'm pretty happy with this little guy right here.. 85 watts

I have a Wilo 3 speed pump. Ran for 8 years 24-7 about 8 months out of the year. I’d say It’s good. Very quiet on the 65 watt setting. It had no problem circulating water from garage underground to the house through primary/secondary system with huge rads. It’s surprising how much just 65 watts will do. Even though you can run it on speed 3 with 110 watts.

I have a situation where the pump is running continuously right now, though it isn't firing the stoker from a call for heat. Not sure if it used to do that before? Maybe, maybe not.

But now I'm wondering if it will hold up. If so, great. If not, when I get a replacement on hand, which one to get.

I know, it is pretty amazing. There are 3 of those circulators in my system, even with all zones calling for heat the 3 circulators barely draw 100 watts.

That's pretty sweet! The 007 I have is .71 amps, so about 85 watts

I'm right there with you Rob. I went with Alphas as well after comparing too many pumps. They were the strongest, most efficient pumps. Definitely beat out Taco in that area. I put an extra on the shelf for that middle of the night pump died insurance plan.

I went with Alpha 1s because I was focused on gpm, head, and watts. The Alpha 2s have more fancy features but for an extra $30 per pump and to not use the extras was a waste to me. I just wanted the pump to basically take my target gpm based on head and adjust automatically which is exactly what the alpha 1 series does.
