No, but it creates challenges in removing the air. When you mix down to a low temperature most of the water in that loop stays in that loop, only a small portion goes through the boiler. Try adjusting the mixing valve to a high temperature and running it for a few days. This will result in a more direct path for the water to go through the boiler and air scoop.

Note to self…when piping for a low temperature loop using a mixing valve remember to add a quick purge stop valve and boiler drain to rapid purge/flush just ahead of the mixing valve for immediate air removal at time of first fill of system . Also allow for a garden hose connection for house pressure to be temporary introduced at time of system fill and air purge. 😁
