Because I fell off a roof in April, and still have double vision, I did not make the 6 hour run to get loose pea coal. Using a Axeman Anderson 130. I got 5 tons in bags , and because there is water in the bags and lots of crumbs from moving them around , my auger was clogging at first . So I made a coal sifter , but how can I get the crumbs into fire ? Put a pipe down and feed them into the end of auger? There isn’t much room in transfer head for them unless I dig the full coal out ….

The Axe can burn anything between rice and pea size. Stoker Don has successfully burned exclusively rice in his.. The problem with the tube clogging is more because of the wet coal.. my solution would be more towards doing something about the wetness instead trying to sift the sizing..
I'm thinking the problem isn't actually clogging in the tube, but more of a bridging issue in front of the auger end..

You can put the fines in a bag and put it in the observation port, I would bury it in the coal pile on top. A lot of it will get blown away though. Trying to feed it through the auger is asking for grief.

Guys. I just dug out the coal around the end of auger and dumped all the dry crumbs down there , then filled in on top with full size pea coal . Works fine . I am finding a lot of wood , big pieces of stuff in these bags , besides the crumbs. Thanks for trying to help. This coal is from Lehigh, the same mine I’ve been getting it loose in bins for the last 5 years or so …..

Usually when they get ready to shut down a shaft--some wood from support beams will get mixed in.
