I'm looking at how you have your bin and dog house setups.

The smallest coal I have convenient access too in my neck of the woods is pea. I'm particularly interested in Axeman/Coal Gun Setups.

How are you set up for delivery?

Though I'd love to see any other setups as well.

Thanks!

Here is what I have...

First pic is the coal chute door which is roughly 10 ft from the edge of the driveway..

Second pic is the other side of the coal chute door in the basement..

Third pic is the Axe auger going into the dog house.. the dog house is currently under coal, I'll see if I can find some pics of it.

My coal guy pours in 6 ton, takes about 30 minutes. As it's being poured I frantically try to push it to the further corners of the bin. It's a bit of a workout and the space between the ceiling and the coal level gets pretty short lol

I use to do the basement spreading too...
not anymore. I have two coal guys... One in the truck and one in the basement spreading it! Only takes them about 20 minutes for 7 tons. I do tip them $20.

A couple more pics of the bin.. I have removable deck boards in place so that as the coal level drops I can easily climb inside..

Thanks so much for the response. Nice, so if I understand correctly there is a box seperate from the bin that you fill with coal? And the tube goes into the dog house. Nothing comes out opf the end to draw/feed the coal in?

The 6th one down is the mini bin.. I use that when I don't have enough coal to fill the main bin. It fits over the end of the dog house to contain coal height adequate enough for the auger end to pick up.

No, coal just falls into the auger end and the auger end scoops it up and brings it to the boiler transfer head where it falls into the burn chamber.
