Anyone have numbers on a replacement motor for an aa130? It’s a marathon motor on mine. And Axeman doesn’t just sell the motor anymore. They want me to buy a kit. That replaces everything.
I was hoping to find a continuous duty motor just like the one that’s on it and replace and be done! Mines making bearing noise. Thanks!

I have unneeded new spare motor that I would sell as well, PM if interested.

Thanks McGiever for the info on frame size!
I found one from supply house for $166 shipped to house.

I could probably use a new one rather than relying on my collection of old used motors.

As *Rob R* said earlier pay attention to the shaft size and frame size. And I’ll add to pay attention to motor rotation direction and being of closed construction to avoid dust and fines entering motor case.

For what it is worth:
Not that AA gives us the best motor option…

Yes that is the one I got. It’ll probably sit on the shelf for awhile until I get around to replacing it.StokerDon wrote: ↑Sun. Nov. 07, 2021 9:42 amGood find!

Hey all, I'm resurrecting this thread because I'd like to get a new motor for my 130. The one that is on it is a 1/3 HP and has been sounding worse and worse on startup.
Since that's not even the right one I don't really have a reference for what to look for, I understand the mounting bolts arrangement and shaft size but as far as capacitor start or whatever I really don't know anything about that!! I know there's different types of enclosures and I do think it would be best to go with an totally enclosed fan cooled if possible....
Also, if anyone HAS a motor for an axeman, I'd be willing to buy it off you!

I have a new in box 1/4 hp for your application.
We should connect by private message to work out the details…
What I have is TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled)’

Finally was able to do the swap! I don't know who put this motor on this stoker before me but it certainly isnt the right one! Thanks McGiever for the great replacement!

Wow... Yeah that old motor sounded really bad.. That new motor is sweet!
Your feed tube chain looks kinda long.. like it almost wants to wrap around the little gear on the gear box.. I installed a half link on mine because I was afraid it was gonna get tangled up.
