So I did a clean up on my KA2 and temporary shutdown as we will be gone for a number of weeks. In the past when I did this I would vac the inside then spray with Fluid Film and put a light bulb inside. Flue pipe is disconnected and the outlet plugged.
Wondering about adding some silica gel to help keep it dry.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

For a few weeks just a light bulb should be fine. I would not bother with fluid film or the silica gel. Keep it simple.
