So I bought a eshland s130 from Kevlarb for a very reasonable sum. I have it home in my shed to temporarily hook up and test. I have no wiring and the previous owner installed a hydrostat 3150 lwco with a rib. I am not an electrician and cannot figure out how to wire this. Every time I put power to it it trips the breaker... dead short. I have checked everything separately and all work fine. I just put power to blower, works fine, power to ash grate fine. I have been on this site for days and cannot find a simple wiring diagram without the rib anywhere. Can anyone just post a simple wiring diagram. I don’t have the ash timer I do have the paragon jw-10 timer. I don’t understand the timer wiring on this unit.
This also came with a gear box on the back...for an aa130 auger??? Unit was originally whistlenuts.
Thanks
Mike

What tripped me up in the initial setup of mine (3150) was the timer circuit into the Aquastat. Only needed to land the 120v wire into the unit. A neutral was not needed , which I had, and the device was essentially creating a short. A photo would always be helpful.

If you see under the small transformer is the unit power , then off the to right is 3 wires. A hot and neutral to the stoker unit motor and the 120 input from the timer.

So my TT is small 24 gauge wire(s) coming from my taco relay (I have multiple zones with pumps). I don’t see that with yours… just a single what looks like 12 gauge wire. Then I see you have 2 conductors on the incoming power, assuming that’s correct, that’s how it should be. You have 2 wires going to a circulator. Different control mode than me. Then to the right I only see the red wire not hooked up where the output power is to your stoker. Should have 2 conductors. Then if you look at my photos you’ll see the single black on the right from my timer where as you have nothing.

So update ...I did get the unit running by taking the ash test stat out of the loop. It must be shorted or I have it wired incorrectly? I will take that apart tomorrow for further inspection. I would still like some sort of sequence of operation as to how this system works. Has this never been brought up? If I figure it out I will write it up I just thought this info would already be available....maybe it is. I could not find it.

Thanks mike

Anthony,
I'm using tt to turn circ on / off it is 12ga it is just a jumper for heat call when I get this figured out. The red wire is being used to supply power to rub...I think. That is how the previous owner (electritian) had it.
Thanks
Mike

A few differences between the 3150 and the 3250 I’m using. Good to hear you’ve found the short issue.

Thanks McGiever, I did read all of that post.

So I have a timer on the front of my s130, controlling ash grate movement, and I have a tempstat by the ash pan ( not wired up ). Are there pros and cons to either of these? Should they both be working?
Thanks
Mike

Both the ash grate timer and the tempstat would be best replaced with a single InkBird PID controller using a "K" thermocouple. The PID replaces the timer while the "K" thermocouple replaces the tempstat.
These are available at Amazon and supplied by Inkbird. Get the Inkbird ITC-106VH AC

You won't regret it! And We'll get you all wired up.
