Does anyone have a manual that shows how to take apart the Boiler?

I have a VW800 in the basement and have to remove it.

Maybe there are some pictures in the installation manual that can help.

The unit was converted to oil and I do not have the original stoker.

Is the boiler leaking at a weld seam???

It is all welded as a one piece boiler body with the firebox welded to the pressure vessel ;^o so the most you can do is remove the boiler skin and the plumbing. I hope you can rent a motorized appliance truck to pull it otherwise you will need a lot of help and a couple sets of chain ratchets, short and long web straps and lots of 2" by 12" lumber for the stairs and furniture dollies.

If your not going to keep it it you should sell it here as would be worth selling here on the classified ads on the coal forum.

Otherwise you can cut it up with a sawzall to separate the firebox from the pressure vessel, SHAME ON ME for uttering such magic black rocks blasphemy on a Thursday ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;^0

I can send you a copy of the manual if you PM me with your email address

Other than removing the oil burner and piping, there isn't much else to do. The stoker is a heaviest part that can be removed, and that is done.

I suggest calling Arnie: http://www.vanwertboilers.com/

If the boiler is in good shape he might be happy to stop by and remove the boiler for you.
