Stoker Coal Boiler: EFM 350 with an S-20 pot (1966)
Coal Size/Type: Rice

I'm running 3 teeth and my air at 5. It seems to burn about 10 lbs a day and the temp ranges 140 to 170.
Keeps me from running the dehumidifier as well.
The timer is about 2 minutes every half hour.
I have the old mercury timer.

I'll have to try that setting Ben.
we have a 1967 efm 350 with a s20 pot.
I think my timer is set for more than two minutes. i'll have to figure out how to adjust it.
We have a dry basement now but a hot house. 92 outside and 80 downstairs right now!
Central a/c getting replaced next sunday. Much duct work reworking and insulation in my near future.

I just shut my EFM down. Seems to run great in warm weather at the factory recommended settings. 4/4, 2 min every half hr on the timer.

Our 1964 EFM has been running non-stop for 57 years...(except for a quick shutdown every September for cleaning) It's at 4/4 with 1 min 47 sec every half hour.

The flat bed KAA-4 timer is set for 51 seconds on and 10 minutes off. Burns 12 to 13 lbs per days in the summer.

I am using my unjacketed gentleman janitor with Efm s15 stoker as a dehumidifier also. 4 and 4 , clicks and air. Timer is 2 min. Every hour. Same settings as winter. Summer temps stay 155 to 170 degrees. There is a small amount of unburnt coal in the ashes. I don’t think enough to worry about. Scott

Shut down the HITZER 3 days ago & this AM she was finally out--did clean out & maintenance--soaked with WD-40--Hell, we're set till next Fall---just gotta pull & brush out black pipe--might also replace ALL gaskets! :)
