As a new member of this fourum I am asking for assistance in determining if an EFM 520 boiler would be a good investment for us to make to heat our 2250 square foot rancher. Some info - chimney height - 20 feet, flue size 7" x 7", coal bin size - four tons. (In the 1980's we heated our home and hot water with a New Yorker Wood/Coal Boiler. We reverted to using our Dynatherm when the price of oil dropped and sold the boiler to a friend.) Having grown up in a a home heated with coal (anthratube) and heated our home with coal in the 1980's we would like to return to coal heat but in a more automated manner. We would appreciate any advice and recommendations efm owners using them in ranchers might have for us as well as advice from any other forum members. Thanks!!

The recommended flue size is 8 x 8. Be sure it has good draft.
