I just picked up a new fan, shaft and bearings at the Axeman Anderson factory. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips regarding installing and adjusting these parts?

Make sure you measure the amount the the shaft sticks out either end before you take it apart.

This one has about 3, 3/8th" on the fan side.

And 2, 1/8th" on the pulley side.

Once you get the fan off, loosen the setscrews on the oil slingers.

Then loosen the setscrews on the end pieces.

Then you should be able to press the shaft out.

When you press it back together make sure you have the same amount of shaft sticking out as what you started with.

Best to call Pete Axeman and get the clearance for the fan before securing the shaft to the collars. Dont recall the exact number but believe you push the fan and shaft in until it hits and back it out an 1/8" for clearance. Too deep it will hit at times, too far back and it loses efficiency.
