1950ish to the late 70's. After that all were DF520, which is still made today.

Thanks for the replies. I was looking at one today. There is a plate above the round door that has some info on it. the last line says "196? - EF-7221. Would that be a 1960 ish manufacture date?

I believe the early 520's, with tube-type heat exchangers, were A520's, and the change to 'AP' coincided with the change to the plate-type heat exchanger around 1960.

I looked at that one two weeks ago. Priced too high for an early 60's that is not really a one man removal.

He did offer it for $600 after I showed him the newer one I picked up a few days before for $250.
