Not a lot to report, mostly been cleaning it up. Good news is that the auger is not worn on the roller area, i scraped about 1/8 of nasty hard crud of the auger. There is some gouging on the lower end and some bad pitting but is what it is.
The boiler itself is been getting cleaned as well, a steam cleaner would have made this much easier

We dug out the axeman this weekend and did some cleaning and painting. This is Turing into a clean and get in service more than a restore. Life alterations and future plans have hindered this. So the full on restore will be a ways down the road. The dhw area is badly pittted so it’s going to get a heavy dose of locktite gasket with the new seal until we can get It welded.
So for now we are cleaning and painting as we go. And FYI, mineral spirits are the more effective methods of the options for removing this crud.

Pressure test is in progress, so far it’s good. A minor drip from the old fill valve on the bottom, so new one of those. But no leaks from the coil area at house pressure for the past 3 hours.

What pressure are you at for the test?
