Have you filed a claim ? If not, you really don't have 1st hand knowledge.

I guess one would have to keep a log of maintenance and inspection to insure that you would be covered in the event of a covered issue...

I kept / created a log for one of my cars ... it resulted in a $14,000 new engine being free due to a warranty claim where they also noted that an exception was lack of proper records memorializing routine maintenance was performed over the life of the car. The log was receipts of oil changing stuff with mileage and dates written on them...pretty simple stuff but stuff 99.999% of people do not do. I really meant the log to insure MPG I was getting, the oil was just extra effort.
