Second year in a row that when the weather gets 90ish I get an alarm in the furnace room for CO2. I'm going to take this time to clean and service everything. Anything I should check out?

Keystoker KA2 with a 2 story block chimney. I think last year when I restarted I put aluminum foil over the damper. Maybe next year I'll have to do that when above 70f outside.

Stovepipes half full of fly ash lose draft easily during hot weather. In addition to covering your baro, you should make sure the stovepipes are clear...

Going to clean all that this morning and the inside of the stove. The stove is still 120f so hopefully it's still nice and dry ash.

I would say you're on the right track. Hot weather killed the draft. Do you have ample air getting into the furnace room?

Glad I gave the T on the bottom of my chimney pipe. Does this rust seem normal? It runs 90% of the year. Only shutdown to clean or when on vacation.
Sorry don't know why some pictures are upside down.

S, I'd get a couple big cans of WD-40 & dose the whole interior. Ya shut down now till Fall? Course you could spend lotsa $$$ on other stuff but WD's been workin for me for 10 yrs or so!! I've got a really good draft, so no odor. I replace black pipe every couple yrs cause it's not that expensive--could probably go longer--but, what the hell!!!! :)

Looks OK to me. Keep her hot all year and they don't rust much at all. WD 40 treatment for extended shutdown. Getting that fly ash on sweaty arms when cleaning gives you an idea of how caustic that stuff can be when wet.
