I bought a refurbished EFM 520 years back and this is the timer that came with it. Does anyone use a timer like this and know anything about them?

What exactly are you looking for? Settings or something else? Is there a problem with the timer?

It seems like it only works some of the time. My high limit is set at 190. I turned my running temp to 140 for the summer with a 10 differential. It is never at the high limit so that is not preventing the timer from turning on.
I had the off time set on 'K' with the dial at 'Max'. I thought this would turn the timer on every hour.
I had the on time set on 'G' with the dial at 'Max'. I thought it would run for 2 minutes.
Am I understanding this correctly?
Thank you.

Thank you Rob.
I will work with it to see if I could figure out what is going on.
Thanks again Rob and coaledsweat for replying.

In most cases, differentials only engage in one direction. It may run on a temperature fall but not on a rise to setpoint or vice versa. I think.

Anyone in NE PA, Wilkes Barre, Hazleton area that knows EFM and timer wiring that would be able to help me? I spent over $1,000.00 last year with a plumber. My unit keeps shutting off. I can take pictures. Let me know. Thank you.

Check the over temperature device, it may be set to low.

I have the operating temperature at 1:40 with a10 differential. The high limit is set at 200 so that should not be an issue. Does that sound OK to you?

When it is running, try adjusting the temp safety down to when it shuts off and look at the temperature. Sometimes these devices "wander" from what the scale shows and reality is.
To he clear, your low is set at 140°, what is the high limit? The overtemp should be a different device. What boiler do you have?
Your overtemp safety switch should look something like this.

The separate low limit was added last year for shutting down the furnace if the temperature dropped below 100 degrees so the furnace did not fill up with unburned coal if I had a fire outage.

The high limit on the aqua stat and the separate high limit are both set at 200 degrees. The plumber felt it was worth adding an additional safety device.
