wondering if some has any in sight on this. thinking about relocating the drain on the unused return tapping, install 250 watt emersion heater, hooked to a ranco temp control that will go in the well of the aquastat for summer time shut down. I also clean and coat with fluid film but still get a lot of condensation. light bulb would be to easy!

thoughts behind this, can control temp, not wasting electric. heater should last for years, boiler sits out in its own room where I often don't go during the off season, kind of set n forget thing

Yup I have a 5500 watt hot water tank element in my boiler where the dhw coil goes. I just stuck a thermostat for a hot water tank
My the boiler surface that controls it.
